Missouri has the highest veteran suicide rate in the country – and a state lawmaker’s mission is to change this

In 2018, 192 Missouri veterans committed suicide. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs says Missouri’s veteran suicide rate is significantly higher than the national average – and the highest in the country.
